Australia is definitely one of the most wonderful countries to live in and create a great future. It has one of the world’s most liveable cities like Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne. It is also home to some of the most beautiful natural wonders, like beaches, deserts and so much more. This is the reason many are dreaming to live in and study in Australia.
This is also true even to students who are seeking real quality education. With more than 1,100 institutions and 22,000 courses to choose from, Australia is definitely a perfect place for learning. What’s more, the country is very welcoming to international students.
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) distinguishes the Australian education system from that of many other nations. It has elementary, secondary, and tertiary education. The AQF is a national strategy that demonstrates how qualifications connect to one another at each level of education. International students who wish to study in Australia can pursue education at any of these levels.
International students can study from primary and secondary school to vocational education and training (VET). Students can also pursue tertiary education, which refers to higher education universities and vocational education and training (VET and TAFE colleges).
Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) is assigned for higher education while Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) for VET institutions.
These two organizations are responsible for the egistration/re-registration of institutions and the accreditation/re-accreditation of courses in Australia.
Regardless of what and how long students are studying, the Australian government makes sure they are protected and treated fairly. The government passed two laws that promote quality education and protect international students. These are the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007 (National Code). With these two laws, any overseas student can get the quality education they deserve.
